stc umwelt ag removes 150 m³ of concrete with falch
stc umwelt ag, a swiss surface specialist, needed to remove 150 m³ of concrete – equivalent to a weight of around 375 tonnes – from a public building.
the stc team led by managing director achim christner played it safe and decided to carry out this removal work automatically, to make sure they could complete it in the estimated two months.
several units delivering 125 kW, 250 kW and 500 kW of power were used, serving two removal robots.
stc’s managing director, achim christner, commented: "there’s no alternative to automated ultra-high-pressure water jetting for removal work on this scale. the removal robots, which we ran in tandem with two units, allowed us to rapidly remove 150 m³."
