fully automatic concrete removal in north brazil with the surface rob from falch

in north-eastern brazil, major concerns existed about newly constructed foundations for wind turbines: 70 concrete foundations had become a problem due to poor concrete quality. they were unable to withstand the wind turbine load in the long term; therefore, quick action was required. however, the task was not without challenge. several m³ of concrete had to be removed without damaging the steel behind it. the problem was that the local ultra-high pressure water jetting systems and hand lances could not provide the required daily output. the solution was the falch surface rob 250 with a base jet 250 - 3000 bar. automated blasting without recoil forces resulted in a removal rate of 3 - 4 m³ per day with a removal depth of between 3 cm and 25 cm. thanks to falch the project was still completed on time, within the calculated time frame. using 3000 bar technology, water consumption was significantly reduced, resulting in much lower costs. that's falch - we make things work.
