rotating nozzle

rotating nozzle for water jetting

rotating nozzles (also called rotary nozzle or dirt mill) combine the advantages of point jetting (high impact) with the advantages of flat jetting (high surface coverage). rotary nozzles are mainly used for removal of stubborn substances from big areas (as e.g. deposits on surfaces, dirt on scaffoldings or rust on ships) or for roughening or removal of solid material (as e.g. concrete).

falch offers one-jet as well as multi-jet rotating nozzles. one-jet models are pointspeed 2, pointspeed 3 and pointspeed 5. the models pointspeed 5 regulation and pointspeed 30 regulation have several jets. the latter one offer in comparison to the one-jet nozzles additional advantages: they have a wider spraying pattern and make it possible to cover much bigger surfaces in the same time. they make much less noise and nearly without vibrations. the decisive difference is that the rotation speed is fast and simply adjustable from 500 to 4,000 rotations per minute by an integrated magnetic break-mechanism. high rotation speeds cause a rather smooth impact of the cleaning medium and make a higher surface coverage possible. you need high rotation speeds to clean facades or to clean roof tiles. low rotation speeds cause a powerful impact, but don't guarantee a big surface coverage. they are used in order to free formworks from concrete or to remove chemical deposits from containers . cleaning results can be additionally optimized by varying active/inactive nozzles. the pointspeed 5 can either be driven in the 2-nozzle-operation on 1 nozzle circle or in the 4-nozzle-operation on 2 nozzle circles. the pointspeed 30 regulation on the other hand can be driven either in the 2-nozzle-operation on 1 nozzle circle, in the 4-nozzle-operation on 2 nozzle circles, in the 3-nozzle-operation on 1 nozzle circle or in the 6-nozzle-operation on 2 nozzle circles.
