the concrete renovation department at the painting contractor jetter gmbh received an order to renovate four concrete silos at holcim in dotternhausen - one of the largest producers of cement, having 90,000 employees all over the world.
in total the area to be renovated amounted to around 9,000 m². the painting contractor jetter gmbh used their own falch equipment: the 500 bar unit, falch T5H was first used to blast the towers, and then the 2,500 bar unit, falch T20/400 was used to reveal the damaged reinforcement and then re-coated with the appropriate products from sto cretec.
jetter employee dirk stoll: "the T20/400 is really great because, in contrast with many other ultra high pressure blasting systems, it only has a small amount of recoil. this means that you can blast for a very long time without getting tired." the painting contractor jetter gmbh employs 70 people and mainly carries out concrete, painting and thermal insulation compound system work. the painting contractor jetter gmbh has been working with falch equipment since 1992.
