an industrial floor with heavy use over a period of 20 years: dried lubricant and coolant remnants and resinified wax, oil and grease deposits form, together with metallic swarf and industrial dust, a thick layer over the years. preparation for a new epoxy resin floor sealant was achieved using the t5h, in combination with the scater5 270 vp. the hot water process and the high pressure up to 500 bar easily removed grease residues from the old epoxy resin coating. a micro-fine roughness of around 5 Nm/mm² guarantees optimum adhesion of the new coating. moreover, material consumption is considerably more economical when re-sealing the floor surfaces.
650 square metres of contaminated floor area cleaned in a single day!
because of the minimum changeover times and high levels of floor area output of the t5h and the scater5 270 vp it was possible to clean a problem area, 650 m² in size and severely contaminated in just one working day. the dirt was removed directly via the integrated vacu-press extraction process through the 20 m long drain hose. the high levels of extraction and the large amount of heat application of 200 kW to the concrete floor ensured rapid drying.
alternative processes, such as shotblasting or grinding, will fail because they only clean superficially or they roughen the surface excessively. this leads to increased material consumption when coating subsequently. cleaning processes with automatic floor-cleaning equipment or grinding wheels cannot really cope with the millimetre-thick, tough oil and grease layer. the falch process is a trendsetting process with contamination of this sort. it is the only process which, with high levels of area output, permits the production of a deep pore substrate preparation, is environment-friendly and saves costs. when using pure water without chemical solvent additives, additional disposal costs are avoided, because the water is discharged directly via an oil separator. when using the falch substrate preparation system, every re-sealing of existing epoxide floor coverings will be an economic shining success.
